There are a few things that can be done in times of emergencies that you don't know. Your Cellphone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it below;
1. Emergency (112)
The Emergency Number worldwide for Cellphones is 112. If you find yourself out of network coverage area of your mobile and there is an emergency, just dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and furthermore this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.
2. Have you locked or forgotten your keys in the car?
Here is a trick i like most, does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday for you. Also another good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock by mistake your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, you can call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button for you, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock immediately. This saves someone from having to drive your keys to you or picking it at home. Distance is no object in this millenium. You could be hundreds of miles or Kilometres away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car by Cellphone, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk) of your car. Please It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!"
3. Hidden Battery Power you never knew
Imagine your cellphone battery is very low. Just press the keys *3370# and Your cell will restart with its reserve and the Cellphone battery will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged agin when you charge your cell next time.
4. How to disable a STOLEN Cellphone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial or IMEI number, dial in the following digits on your phone, * # 0 6 # a 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your Cellphone. Dont forget to write it down and keep it somewhere safe. If your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service or network provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your Cellphone so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless to him/her. You can get your phone back with tracking, but at least you know with this method that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this process, there would be no point in people stealing Cellphones.
