Sony reveals the Xperia Z4 smartphone in Japan but no impressive update added

If you are sony xperia user, you might want to know about the specifications of the phone.
Sony has recently revealed the Xperia Z4 flagship smartphone for 2015 in Japan, but hasn't said when we can expect to see worldwide.

The smartphone has been hinted at for some time and users first thought we'd seen it last year when details emerged from the Sony Pictures hack in December .

However, users expecting a huge change will be disappointed as the Xperia Z4 looks to be remarkably similar to last year's Xperia Z3.

It's got a 5.2-inch high definition screen and a 144g metal and glass body that is very similar to the same design as the Z3 and the Z2 before it. And like those phones, it's water and dust resistant.

The smartphone has a 2GHz Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM - the same specs as the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the HTC One M9.

And, similar to those phones, it also runs the latest version of Google's Android operating system.

Sony habitually releases a smaller "Compact" version of its phones to go along with the main handsets. However, there's been no Xperia Z4 Compact announced yet.

The Xperia Z4 smartphone will come in a choice of black, white, copper and "aqua green" when it launches in Japan this summer.

Battery technology breakthrough as you can fully charge your smartphone in just one minute

Scientists believe they have had a breakthrough as a new battery that could fully charge a smartphone in just one minute and is better for the environment than present models.

This aluminium-based batteries could eventually replace the lithium ones seen in laptops and mobile phones in the near future.

Added to the unprecedented charging times of their aluminium prototype, the team said it was also safer than lithium-ion batteries as the battery is less prone to catching fire and more environmentally friendly than common alkaline models such as AA and AAA.

Several scientists have hailed it as a breakthrough in battery technology that went further than previous attempts using aluminium.

According to the researchers report: "We have developed a rechargeable aluminium battery that may completely replace existing storage devices, such as alkaline batteries, which are not good for the environment, and lithium-ion batteries, which occasionally burst into flames. Our new invention (battery) won't catch fire, even if you drill through it.

"Millions of customers presently use 1.5-volt AA and AAA batteries. Our invention rechargeable aluminium battery generates about two volts of electricity. The figure is higher than anyone has achieved with aluminium."

The prototype battery was reported to be more durable, withstanding more than 7,500 cycles of charging without any loss of capacity and surpassing previous aluminium batteries which dies after about 100 charge-discharge cycles, while a typical lithium-ion battery lasts only about 1,000 cycles.

"This will be the first time an ultra-fast aluminium-ion battery was built with stability over thousands of cycles," the report's authors stated.

The report further added that lithium batteries can "go off in an unpredictable manner" and mentioned a ban by US airlines Delta and United on bulk shipments on passenger planes.

And this new design could be used to store renewable energy of the electrical grid, the researchers suggested.

"Another feature of the aluminium battery is its flexibility. You can bend it and fold it at will, so it has the potential for use in flexible electronic gadgets. Aluminium is also a cheaper metal than lithium the report added."

The new software will sync all the messages in real time to the BlackBerry Blend software effectively giving you to the ability not to have the BlackBerry in the same room or building. As expected with BlackBerry, the new service will be powered through the BlackBerry network with system admins having the ability to set BlackBerry Blend parameters for users that match their security guidelines.

Best ways to upgrade your Blackberry10 OS to '10.3.1.1565'

Every Blackberry10 users are trying to upgrade their OS 10.2 to the recently released OS 10.3. However most users are finding it difficult to achieve this due to the issue of 'not enough memory' that keeps coming up.

Relax you will be able to upgrade your smartphone easily if you follow these steps carefully below.

This issue of not enough memory as explained in by blackberry's official blog below

There is currently not enough free space (internal device memory) on the smartphone to install the update successfully. The BlackBerry 10 OS requires 2.5 times the downloaded package size, for example, an update package of 1GB will require a total of 2.5GB's free space to download and install successfully.

From the above statement most users especially Z3 users will observe that their phone memory cannot take the upgrade. Here is how to overcome this:
i. Upgrade your software through a Blackberry Link

Blackberry link is the official blackberry desktop software, if you dont have in your PC, download from blackberry official website here .

ii. Upgrade directly from blackberry software update center

You can also download the upgrade directly from blackberry's software update center by clicking this link 'http://www.blackberry.com/update' .

iii. Free up your memory space and then upgrade

This method is the best for most users in African countries, with this method, you will upgrade your software easily.
Please note that even if you delete all of the deletable apps and media files you may still not have enough memory for the upgrade.

The best to do is a security wipe for your phone, but before doing this please and please make sure you back-up your phone. Also make sure to delete all deletable applications and transfer all your media files to your external SD card. This is due to the time the wipe takes depending on the installed apps on you phone, it may even take 6 to 8 hours. But if you delete all the installed apps, it may just take an hour. Another advantage of this wiping is to delete all unnecessary files on your phone thereby freeing up your phone memory. After the wipe you will have enough space for the upgrade.

Goto settings and scroll to where the arrow is pointed in the image

After clicking you'll see, follow the steps and start the wipe

You should now have enough memory for the software upgrade.
Note: for users in some countries you may not be able to use your network carrier to upgrade as the phone will tell you to upgrade through wifi. You can buy data to your friends phone with wifi hotspot to do the upgrade
