There are reports that Facebook is trying to introduce video call capability into the WhatsApp program. If successful, users will be able to make video calls on their WhatsApp application. Remember that voice calling was introduced earlier this year, the Company says video calling capability will give its users better services.
The video calling capability is still in testing, and will obviously make its way to users in the coming weeks. When this happens - video calling support will make WhatsApp a much bigger competitor to Skype than it was before.
Furhtermore, the new WhatsApp update shall also sport a new design, with a major focus on the color green. Also added to the new update are some sort of tab-based UI is said to be in testing. Tabs should make switching between different conversations much easier than before, as users can switch from one tab to another directly, without having to go back to the conversation list first.
